In 2019 I was diagnosed with heart failure.
Three years of a tumultuous season as a full-time caregiver to a stroke survivor had taken a toll on my health that led to this moment; as the nurse told me, “You have one foot in the grave and won’t be here this time next year.”
As I received divorce papers and was left to weather the storm alone, God sent me a dog. Drako seemed like the last thing I needed, (another life to take care of), but he was the exact thing I needed most. The unconditional love of this animal (Dog is God backwards), brought me back to joy, laughter, childlike faith and healing where I needed it the most; my heart. Without a single medical treatment my heart tests came back normal on the 3-month follow-up.
In 2020, a name brand candle caused Drako to stop breathing. The Angels Flame candle was born.
After much research, Drako & I collected natural beeswax from local bee farms and began making candles crafted in nature – replacing toxicity with love.
The most important candle I made was called “Forgiveness”. It was a blend I pieced together the day my stepdad passed away and I was asked to perform his eulogy. Something about creating a flame of of love in the midst of heartbreak healed something deep inside of me. The scripture I coined my speech over in honor of Roger was James 1:26: “The only religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is to care for the fatherless and widows in their time of distress.” Roger wasn’t a deeply religious man that went to church on Sundays or claimed holiness. He was humble, kind and he adopted the fatherless little girl named me when I was only 3 years old. He had done the Father’s will in Heaven and I’m so grateful for his love.
In 2022, my mother was diagnosed with a disease & given 3 months to live.
With a storage unit full of the angels flame candles, I decided to create exercises based on my learning while living in a nuero-science center for my mother and passed them out into communities with my dog Drako. We formed prayer circles & met amazing kind hearted people. But the biggest gift was in the many miracles we witnessed in response to our prayer groups. My mother refused treatment & no medical intervention, she is alive and well today, (3 years later).
Angels Flame Candles weren’t created for profit; they were created out of love with a purpose. My hope in sharing them with others is to spread the truth in our stories, ignite faith in the power of prayer and the gift of giving (even when the only thing you have to give is your love).
I share all stories in authenticity and my passion behind the project is to help people live in greater levels of calm and freedom and to raise funds to prepare a place for Animal sanctuary and healing retreats. Thank you for your visit and for your support.
